Siberian Male Cats Have Manes

Merry Christmas from our hypoallergenic Siberian Forest Kittens, Max and Katinka. They are now 7 months old and Max already weighs 9 pounds! They were our Christmas gift to each other and they keep on giving!

Siberian Kitten Grows Raccoon Tail
Our hypoallergenic Siberian Kitten, Max, just turned 6 months old. When we first got him at 9 weeks he was a black tabby with white bib, mittens and boots. He is turning into a brown/black tabby and he also grew out a raccoon tail for the winter. Check this guy out…click on the picutre to enlarge photo.

Aren't I handsome at 5 months old? I already weigh 6.5 pounds!
A lot has happened with the kittens these past couple of months. They are starting to find their cat voices. Max does meow now like a regular cat when he begs for treats. But, he also trills and chirps! Katinka is the less vocal cat. She doesn’t meow unless in the car and going to the vet. She will peep or chirp at home. Max’s fur is either turning brown or growing out brown. His mane (ruff around neck) is especially growing out brown. The kitties are into everything. No string, piece of paper or plant is safe in their presence. Both kitties got fixed a couple of weeks ago. They did fine – it was hard on Kitty Mommy though!

A New Pillow Bed
So, I got a bee in my bonnet last night and whipped up a little pillow bed for Max and Katinka for our desk in our office. The cats like to sleep and play in the office when we are there, and even when we aren’t there. I used green velveteen material I had left over from my medival costume which is the costume pictured at the top of this website. The pillow bed is a little small for two grown cats, but will do for now. They seem to like the pillow bed….you can always click on these pictures to enlarge:)

Katinka and Max’s Cat Tree
Max and Katinka got a new cat tree. They love it so much they sleep in the top part together all night! This means they are not sleeping with us and we are very sad. Kendall thinks its like having kids who want to sleep outside in their new tent. Hopefully the novelty will wear off, but I don’t know. They just love this tree.
